it seems more and more these days, as an original band who writes and performs mostly your own songs, fewer doors are open as an invite to you. over the past few months weve seen bars and clubs drastically change their ideas and turn strictly to cover and tribute bands therefore tossing aside any chance you may have of having the experience of having a unexpected band WOW you at a local level. and in recent years the decline of original live music venues grows more and more.
we should all be greatful for those clubs that still hold true to supporting the local scene, and as for those that who remain closed-minded...we all have you to thank for the lack of originality and the fear of something new and different, that our society suffers from.
so come out and support original music, and keep the scene alive!!!!
ps: i have nothing against cover or tribute acts, as a matter of fact i often enjoy it if its done right, i just disagree with the lack of good original local music clubs
